If you find yourself thinking, "I am so STUPID!" when you do something online, or get so frustrated with computers you give up, I can help.
Lots of us struggle with technology, yet it's a necessity. We use email, shop or book appointments online, we're on Facebook to share interests with friends, see photos of the kids and grandkids, keep in touch with friends. Yet there are lots of things about the internet and using computers nobody tells you that make it a lot harder than it needs to be. And when you try to find help online? If you don't understand the lingo, oh boy, you're on your own!
There's nothing wrong with you. It seems like we should just KNOW how to use technology, but it's as hard as learning a new language. Children learn as easily as plants absorb water, but adults have to work harder to learn new skills.
Maybe you have more knowledge of computer basics, but now you want to create a website or online store, start marketing on Facebook, post videos on YouTube, turn your hobby into a business. Maybe your club wants to get the word out to attract new members, but the idea of Facebook marketing or creating a website is too daunting.
But you CAN do it!
I use Zoom to do private one-on-one coaching on the basics of Facebook, creating graphics using Canva, creating a simple website using platforms like Weebly, Wix or Squarespace, making Facebook marketing less terrifying, creating a YouTube channel, and more.
I also run small group workshops on Zoom, where I'll demonstrate skills, then you get hands-on. There's lots of guidance and support, time for questions and answers, laughter, and insights on the bigger picture of marketing, branding and more.
My purpose is not to train everybody to do everything. I don't know everything, but I know how to teach, in a friendly approachable way, so you feel you CAN do this. I've been using computers since 1985. I'm mostly self-taught, not a highly trained computer wiz. For over 5 years, I've been taking classes on making online courses, creating a brand identity, using Canva, and Facebook marketing. I love learning, and I enjoy sharing what I know so other people can feel the same joy at mastering skills that I do.
I'm an older adult myself. I know what it's like when the clerk is younger than my oldest computer, and I can see them trying not to roll their eyes! You've had a career, raised a family, managed a business, faced challenges. You deserve to be treated with respect for what you do know, even as you get help with technology.
One-on-one coaching is available right now. The current rate is $60 Canadian per session, or $150 Canadian for a package of 3 sessions. If you want to talk more about this, fill in the "I Need Help!" form.
If you want to stay in the loop about new classes or information products I offer, you can sign up for my email newsletter below. Hand to heart, I will not spam you with a lot of offers, just a short newsletter once a month or whenever I make new workshops or services available. I hate getting spammed and I won't do that to you.
